Phra Somdej Watrakhang amulets was first made by Somdej Puttajarn Toh, Thai people call Laung Poo Toh, from WatRakhang Kositararm. Laung Poo Toh had been studied religious teachings from many great guru monks in the past. And one of the most important subject is how to create amulets. The amulets have power of protection against evils/darkness or negative energy. The reason Laung Poo Toh made these amulets is to expand the Dharma of The Load Buddha, to bless every life in this world. The โ€œFirst Phra Somdejโ€ was created when Laung Poo Toh went to Phratabong a province of Cambodia to visit supremacy of Cambodia, highest-ranking religious leader, who had respect to Laung Poo Toh very much. He asked Laung Poo Toh to create amulets for protecting any danger and to pay respect for or pray, also to remind him of Laung Poo Toh. Materials for making Phra somdejs consisting of Shell lime, holy powder, flowers from shine, rice remains after his consumption, lotus, ashes from incense urns, honey, tang oil, etc.
